Nerd Labs have followed the development of strudel.finance since the very begining, since we love to see innovative protocols that bring something new to the crypto space. However, market headwinds sometimes keep a project from having a fair chance at being priced by the market and fall to the waysisde.

We thought that was the case with $TRDL, and since the devs had already completed all the protocol side development and we decided to take up the challenge to communicate the value of what has already been built. We had an inmediate success which proved us that this was a case of a protocol needing another chance.

Although the short term development of strudels is complete we are happy to announce that our original dev @Keno is going to remain on an advisory role for the time being as he fulfills his role as sushi core dev. This opens incredible opportunities to build out our strudel protocol and make interesting products that could be onboarded onto the larger sushi ecosystem.

Looking ahead

On the short term we hope to reach the peg of vBTC by showing users why a trustless one way bridge is an elegant solution for bitcoin tokenization, and that the community can be the “Keepers of the Peg” which is both an investment opportunity and a responsibility to all vBTC users to do our best to mantain the true value of this asset.

Once we achieve the peg the incentive for tokenizing additional bitcoins through our bridge will reappear bringing new vBTC into the ecosystem, further solidifying the peg and enabling more opportunities with other protocols to compose defi primitives into products that enable value creation to all their users.
